The organization of this event arises from the firm belief in the power of ordinary people everywhere to help stop the bloodshed in Syria. To this end, this event represents a message of support from the Egyptian people to their Syrian neighbors. The event will open with Key figures, both Egyptian and Syrian and is honored to also include a special recorded message by internationally renowned caricaturist Ali Ferazat, who will also contribute to the event with a display of his selected works dealing with the revolution in Syria. A direct message from the Syrian people to the world will also be presented in a documentary screening and a photo exhibition portraying “The Truths Behind the Syrian Revolution.” Victims’ testimonies will be heard, serving as first-hand witnesses of the brutality of the situation in Syria. The event will include a wide participation from Egyptian and Syrian artists. Wust el Ballad band, poet Ahmed Hadad, singer Mohamed Mohsen , who will sing with Syrian Oud artist Somer Nasser, and Syrian revolutionary singer Abdallah Sharaf will all be performing.
