# CIHRS Hosted a Delegation from Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Discuss Human Rights Situation in the Arab Region

![logo s](https://cihrs.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/logo-s.jpg)On Tuesday, 25March, CIHRS held a meeting with a diplomatic delegation from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, the human rights situation in the Arab region and the challenges of democratic transition were discussed.

The delegation included the Swedish ambassadors to Egypt, Morocco and Algeria and three senior officials of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

The meeting came at the end of the annual meeting of  Swedish ambassadors to countries in the Arab region, which was held in Egypt this year. The meeting with CIHRS was held on the final day of their two-day annual meeting
