Human rights organizations call upon the Moroccan government to drop charges against rights activists and journalists

Yesterday evening, Tuesday March 15, the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS) delivered an oral intervention before the 31st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council currently convening in Geneva. The intervention, which was delivered in collaboration with the Committee to Protect Journalists, Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network, International Media Support and the Moroccan Association for Human Rights, reiterated the organizations’ concern over rising restrictions against journalists, freedom of expression advocates and freedom of association in Morocco.
