On the last day of the 26th Session of the UN Human Rights Council NGOs from around the world called on the UN Rights Council to take stronger measures to protect human rights defenders, and called for immediate and unconditional release of “seven women human rights defenders recently arrested in Egypt for exercising their right to peaceful protest, as well as that of the three Al-Jazeera journalists”.
