دعوة مفتوحة للحيلولة دون وقوع كارثة إنسانية ومزيد من الخسائر في أرواح الأبرياء

لقد شهدنا موتًا ودمارًا غير مبررين في قطاع غزة وإسرائيل؛ إذ قتل وجرح وشرد آلاف الأشخاص، فيما لا يزال قرابة مائتي شخص قيد الاحتجاز كرهائن، بمن فيهم الأطفال وكبار السن.

وبحسب الأمم المتحدة، فإن الحصار الحالي لقطاع غزة يهدد بنفاذ الغذاء والمياه والوقود والإمدادات الطبية، وحتى أكياس الجثث. فيما حذرت الأمم المتحدة من أن العديد من الأشخاص، وخاصة الأطفال، على وشك الموت بسبب الجفاف الشديد. فضلًا عن تدمير العديد من الأحياء السكنية وتحولها لأنقاض، الأمر الذي ترك الفلسطينيين بدون مأوى. كما أفادت تقارير أن المدنيين الفلسطينيين، الذين انتقلوا من شمال غزة لجنوبها استجابًة لأوامر الجيش الإسرائيلي، قد تعرضوا للقصف أثناء محاولتهم الفرار أو بمجرد وصولهم جنوب غزة.

لقد دفعتنا أحداث الأسبوع الماضي إلى حافة كارثة إنسانية، ولم يعد ممكنًا للعالم الانتظار أكثر. إنها مسئوليتنا الجماعية.

في 15 أكتوبر، ناشد منسق الأمم المتحدة للشئون الإنسانية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، جميع أطراف النزاع، والدول الأعضاء، الموافقة بشكل عاجل على وقف إطلاق النار لأسباب إنسانية. واليوم، نرفع أصواتنا معًا، وندعو جميع رؤساء الدول، ومجلس الأمن، والجهات الفاعلة على الأرض، لمنح الأولوية للحفاظ على حياة البشر قبل أي شيء آخر.

وخلال وقف إطلاق النار هذا، ندعو جميع الأطراف إلى تنفيذ التالي، دون قيد أو شرط:

  1. تسهيل توصيل المساعدات الحيوية الضرورية، بما في ذلك الغذاء والإمدادات الطبية والوقود واستئناف خدمات الكهرباء والإنترنت في غزة، إلى جانب ضمان التحرك الآمن للعاملين في المجال الإنساني والطبي.
  2. إطلاق سراح جميع الرهائن المدنيين، وخاصة الأطفال وكبار السن.
  3. السماح للقوافل الإنسانية بالوصول لمرافق الأمم المتحدة والمدارس والمستشفيات والمرافق الصحية في شمال غزة والالتزام بحمايتها، وحماية المدنيين والموظفين داخلها في جميع الأوقات.
  4. إلغاء أوامر الحكومة الإسرائيلية للمدنيين بمغادرة شمال غزة.
  5. السماح بإجلاء المرضى أصحاب الحالات الحرجة طبيًا، للحصول على رعاية عاجلة.

كما ينبغي على مجلس الأمن بالأمم المتحدة والأمين العام للأمم المتحدة وجميع قادة العالم اتخاذ إجراءات فورية لضمان تفعيل وقف فوري لإطلاق النار. إذ لا يزال خيارنا الوحيد لتجنب المزيد من الخسائر في أرواح المدنيين، والحيلولة دون حدوث كارثة إنسانية. وأي تحرك بخلاف ذلك سيظل وصمة عار في ضميرنا الجمعي للأبد.

المدنيون ليسوا ورقة مساومة، والعائلات بحاجة لدفن موتاهم والحداد عليهم، ولا بد من وقف دورة العنف بحق الأبرياء.
