CIHRS Meets a Delegation from the U.S. Council of Foreign Relations

Bahey Eldin Hassan, Director of the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS), met today with a Delegation from the US Council of Foreign Relations, at the CIHRS Cairo office. Today’s meeting comes as part of the delegation’s 4 days visit to Cairo on 22- 26 January 2011 to meet government officials, media persons, businessmen and civil society leaders. The meeting lasted nearly 50 minutes. Human rights issues were raised during the meeting, including the Egyptian 2010 parliamentary elections, sectarian incidents in Egypt, and the repercussions of recent events in Tunisia. The delegation is composed of 20 members of the US Council of Foreign Relations.
