Empowering a New Generation of Human Rights Advocates in the MENA region

The Cairo Institute of Human Rights Studies (CIHRS), in partnership with Réseau Euromed France (REF), Ligue de l’enseignent des Bouches-du-Rhône (LE) and Instants Vidéo Numériques et Poétiques (IV), is pleased to announce their new project: Empowering a New Generation of Human Rights Advocates in the MENA Region. The project, funded by the United Nations Development Fund (UNDEF), aims to build the capacity of young human rights activists, defenders and youth group members across the MENA region to design and lead local activism initiatives on human rights issues.

The programme is supported by Amnesty International's Human Rights Academy, providing technical education expertise and training capacity.

The association of a theoretical training, a field exchange and the development of concrete initiatives has been designed to both empower and engage young MENA change-makers.

  • 4. Field Exchange program to Marseille, France with experienced civil society actors.
  • 5. Workshop / Public event in Tunis to showcase participants' successful initiatives
